The heart of WMU is missions. WMU provides avenues of missions awareness and involvement for all ages in the church. Missions is the work of God through the church by which the gospel of Jesus Christ is extended in word and deed to all people in the world. WMU challenges Christian believers to understand and be radically involved in the mission of God. Our Women on Mission meet the first Sunday of each month.

We're having a party!

Our WMU Ladies will sponsor a WordCrafts party Tuesday, October 18, at 6:00 p.m.

WorldCrafts develops sustainable, fair-trade businesses among impoverished people around the world. Their vision is to offer an income with dignity and the hope of everlasting life to every person on earth. Their artisan groups seek to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of their workers. Men and women receive job training and enjoy comfort, camaraderie, friendship, and purpose, perhaps for the first time. Women find a safe haven and receive counseling as they leave the sex industry. Individuals and families discover the abundant life and see that life lived out in front of them.

WorldCrafts abides by and requires all partnering artisan groups to abide by Fair Trade Federation guidelines. Fair-trade buyers, such as WorldCrafts, ensure that artisans receive fair wages and the goods purchase were produced in an ethical and environmentally-friendly manner. WorldCrafts is a division of WMU.

Our Areas of Mission Focus:

Annie Armstrong
North American Missions: 3 out of 4 people in North America do not know Christ as Lord and Savior. This is an important, urgent need! We support missionaries throughout North America as they strive to reach each person for the cause of Christ. 100% of the monies given to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering is used for missionary salaries, benefits, and their ministry.

Golden State Missions logo
Golden State Missions: In Tennessee, one out of every two people is unchurched. The Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions is an annual offering that supports missions and ministries of the Tennessee Baptist Convention.

Foreign Missions
Foreign Missions: We join other Southern Baptist churches in collecting the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for the sole purpose of supporting international missions. Every penny of the offering goes to the International Mission Board's overseas budget, thus supporting our missionaries and their work.
